Best Practices for Google Maps on Google Sites

Choose a Zoom Level that Shows Context

Adjust the zoom level in Google Maps before copying the code so that your location is easy to spot. For example, choose a zoom level that shows nearby landmarks or major roads if relevant.

Use Descriptive Captions or Annotations

Add a brief description next to the map, such as “Visit us at [Your Business Address],” to enhance the user experience and make the map's purpose clear.

Keep Maps Consistent Across Pages

If you use maps on multiple pages, make sure the styling and placement are consistent. This provides a cohesive look and feel, especially if your site is focused on local engagement.
